University of Manitoba Unmanned Arial Systems Take Flight

The University of Manitoba Unmanned Ariel Systems (UMUAS) is a team of students with a passion for engineering drones.

We integrate top-of-the-line technology into our drone systems. These include Beyond Visual Line Of Sight systems, semi-autonomous systems, target detection algorithms, tracking antennas and much more. For four years, our UMUAS has competed in the Aerial Evolution Association of Canada Student UAS Competition. We invite students from all faculties to participate – no engineering experience is required. Connect with us to learn more.

Our Mission

To provide valuable drone experience to the future generation of engineers. We do this by creating a remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) that meets the operational requirements of the Aerial Evolution Association of Canada Student UAS competition.
